Statistics Canada has released the latest jobless figues for Calgary. What do they mean?

Court Ellingson, vice-president of Strategy for Calgary Economic Development, talks to Calgary’s Business about the city’s labour market which saw its unemployment rate jump to 7.1 per cent in December – the fifth highest in Canada. The city also lost 6,600 jobs in December.
