What is LGFG Fashion House and what do you do?

Toukhcher: LGFG is a custom tailoring company where our executive clothiers (tailors) visit clients right in their office or home, saving them valuable time, while delivering designed-in-England, top-of-the-line customs suits, shirts and related accessories.

My role as CEO is to grow the value proposition or our clients, and to deliver on brand promise internally and externally.

How and why did you get involved with this?

Toukhcher: I wanted to use my direct sales background towards a product I loved and something that was scaleable and had a need in the market. Our service ticked all the boxes!

I started the company basically selling suits from the trunk of my car, which evolved over the years into a multinational tailoring brand that sells on five continents.

I still love it as much as I did the first day, even though the business has changed vastly.

Who typically are your customers?

Toukhcher: White-collar professionals: lawyers, bankers, accountants. Also we’re fortunate to serve the occasional pro athlete, with many NHL players, and from time to time even a Hollywood movie star (we were commissioned to make 12 bespoke suits for The Rock’s summer blockbuster Skyscraper).

Our clients appreciate more than just the high quality clothing, but the personal relationship they can build with our tailor and our brand, therefore giving them a source they can trust.

Tell me about your life/leadership philosophy?

Toukhcher: My life/leadership philosophy is rooted in these five principles:

• Integrity: Doing what I say I’m going to do when I said I’m going to do it (or when it becomes objectively impossible, immediately remedy and honour the principle).
• Fight for the truth: Own my failures and successes.
• Don’t count participation as success: Success is winning at the game, not playing it.
• Fairness: A core principle that backs up fighting for the truth.
• Commitment: Doing what you said you were going to do long after the initial excitement of doing it has long passed. This is the principle that builds successful character rooted in growth.

What has your company done to support charities in the community?

Toukhcher: LGFG Fashion House is proud to support multiple charities and in the last three years. We’ve donated over $1 million in clothing to non-profits, partnering with excellent non-profits like the Flames Foundation, Alberta Diabetes, Inn From the Cold and many, many others.
