More encouraging news out Tuesday for Alberta’s manufacturing sector.
A Statistics Canada report says sales in the sector in February reached $6.2 billion. That was up 0.7 per cent from January and it was 8.7 per cent higher than a year ago.
A similar trend was reported throughout Canada as manufacturing sales reached $55.8 billion, which represented a monthly increase of 1.9 per cent and a year-over-year hike of 4.6 per cent.
