The new online store is a fully-integrated extension of the company’s eye-clinic experience with patients now able to access their prescriptions through the store’s integrated patient portal, allowing them to conveniently order a new pair of prescription glasses or reorder their contact lenses when it works best for them.
Additionally, the online store will enable Canadians to try on frames with its virtual application, making the experience of ordering your prescription glasses seamless, said the Calgary-based company.
The launch of the new online store is a natural progression for FYidoctors, which is dedicated to delivering industry-leading solutions with the patient in-mind, said Dr. Alan Ulsifer, founder and CEO.
“An integrated e-commerce solution, which is an extension of our optometrist-led care, provides a real opportunity to engage with our patients in between examinations,” he said. “We’re tremendously excited to deepen our relationship with our existing patients. Our integration with our core systems, like our prescription service, is unique and will enable a great ongoing user experience for all of our current and future patients.”
FYidoctors will launch a fully functional French site later this year, making the unique online shopping experience available to patients across FYidoctors’ 181 Canadian locations.
