Scotiabank Economics forecasts motor vehicle sales of 248,000 this year, up from 245,000 in 2017 and 220,000 in 2016

Scotiabank Economics released its Global Auto Report on Thursday. It forecasts motor vehicle sales of 248,000 this year, up from 245,000 in 2017 and 220,000 in 2016.

Sales this year will also surpass long-term averages.

The bank said average annual sales in the province were 232,000 between 2006 and 2015 and 166,000 between 1994 and 2005.
