A new online real estate platform has launched in Calgary where both buyers and sellers can check for free in-depth information about every property in the city, including last sold price.
The platform, honestdoor.com, was first launched earlier this year in Edmonton.
“We are excited to offer Calgarians the easiest way to access all the information they need to make the best decisions about keeping, selling or buying a home,” said Dan Belostotsky, HonestDoor founder and CEO, in a news release.
“Our mission is to provide free and instant real estate transparency to everyone, then to provide analytics and predictions to help people with their decisions and, in the near future, to help them buy and sell property.”
Home and commercial property buyers and sellers in Calgary can check for free, in-depth information about every property in the city, including last sold price, assessed price history, HonestDoor price estimate, permit data, transaction data and soon-to-be-released Calgary neighbourhood growth rates.
“With unrivalled free access to property information, consumers can learn all about the properties they are interested in or assess the value of their own home and how it ranks in the neighbourhood,” said the company.
HonestDoor launched in Edmonton on May 28 and now covers Calgary, Leduc and Spruce Grove, and soon the rest of Alberta and then Canada, it said.
“No other website or app in Canada matches the depth of property information provided by honestdoor.com. HonestDoor uses ‘big data’ and machine learning tech to drive a new wave of deep analytics. In the coming months, HonestDoor will use its proprietary machine learning system and other data analytics tools to add even more useful information for consumers. The next wave of features includes future price projections on each home and identification of homes and neighbourhoods likely to appreciate more quickly over the coming years.”
